Under the Dome

So, the website here says it's worth $19 first edition. I have what I believe to be one of the collector's editions and I think the number line shows it is a first edition as well. This is the one that has the belly band on it, with the illustrated character cards with it.

From seeing a Barnes and Noble website, it looks like someone is selling it for $5. Which is crazy. BUT.....it says this edition was limited to 25,000 copies.

Any ideas on this one? Future value maybe? I've read it, it was my first King book and I didn't enjoy it as much as 11/22/1963. Don't know if this will be considered one of his classics or not.

It appears that you have what was termed the "Collector's Edition". There were 25,000 copies of this done. The "regular" first edition had about 925,000 copies done, which is what Tomas was referencing. I'd put the value for the Collector's Edition at about $100 in NM condition.

I doubt that Under the Dome will ever be classified as one of King's classics. It is not one of my favorites.

That "collectors" edition of UTD can usually be found very cheaply. 25000 copies is a LOT for a limited edition, and I purchased mine for $25. I remember seeing one seller a couple of years back who had 10 copies on eBay, for $6 each as he just wanted them gone.

Is this collectors edition you are referring to the signed edition?

Never mind, just read the descriptions on the limiteds page and see that there were only 1500 of the signed.
