Hi guy's i'm writing on behalf of my friend, we are both King collectors (i would say i am a bit more mad collecting nearly everything!), but he has asked me to post this to get answers. i own all the Viking first editions, he also owns most of them, i bought all mine from the US (i'm in the UK) but he has bought most of his in the UK. The books look exactly like mine with the $ price on the DJ etc.. but he keeps saying that Viking Penguin published books with the $ sign, and both books also state Viking Penguin in the US and the UK identical to the US editions, but in the UK. hence he thinks they are some kind of (as he calls them) "phony UK imports". can anyone actually confirm this or not. i honestly do not know. any help would be great. Cheers, Owen

Many if not all the Viking books have the printer on the copyright page. If they show the same (US) printer, they are printed in the US.
