Overlook Bookstore - Chadbourne Remarques

I've not seen much (if any!) discussion on these boards around the current offering from Glenn Chadbourne.
For those that arn't aware Dave (Overlook Connection Bookstore) has commissioned Glenn to remarque previous SK books starting from Carrie. These are being offered in a limited set of 100 and are accompanied by a letter of authentication as well as the books having an additional GC seal with the limited edition number contained within it.

For the most part these will not be 1st editions and are therefore of limited interest to most of you, however new books (such as Dr Sleep, Joyland) ARE 1st editions and so are comparable with those being offered by PS and CD.

What are members thoughts on these? they are not cheap, but provide great art by Glenn and in a very small limited quantities. I currently have subscribed (and have number 3 for all my purchases) but am wondering if the relatively high cost of these is justified.

Ive seen some of these already on another King related forum, and the art Glenn is doing looks awesome (as usualy)

As you point out, they aren't first editions, but of course for the early books that just means they are more affordable to more people.

Re the cost, being that it is the art you are paying for, its totally subjective. Some people just don't value artwork and hence aren't prepared to pay the asking price, while I know others who think its a steal.

I haven't purchased these, but did commission a piece from Glenn about 18 months ago (me as Jack from The Shining) and that was totally worth the asking price!

Look forward to seeing the pieces he does for you....

All,

I have decided to sell my current 4 books with remarques along with the ability to continue to purchase copy no 3 of future remarqued books. Please see my post in the for sale section of this forum.
