In the UK, if you are VAT registered you can claim back 100% from HM Customs and Excise.

Congrats guys! Mine turned out to be close to perfect, I'd say 95% with just a couple extremely small visible chips (i'm talking pen tip sized) and the lightest hint of a little rubbing/fading where the paper and cloth meet. Honestly it's so faint I would not have noticed it, except that with all the hubub going on I went over the thing in extreme detail.

Got my email from Bill confirming I will be getting a new traycase along with my dustjacket. I am very appreciative of all he is doing trying to make these right. I'm sure it hasn't been a good couple weeks for him.

finally got mine today - and happy to say its perfect - was wrapped in plastic and avoided any of the issues previously reported.

Only thing to note was the surprise re the Deckle Edge - not a fan at all - and personally think it detracts from such a pristine looking book.
