Thanks for the heads up collector. Maybe I will be able to fight my way to the front of the line when he comes to Atlanta. As you know, I missed out on the Western Mass. food bank signing due to the fact I live in a rustic shack in the forrest and did not feel comfortable driving that far with my coon dogs. Did you know he referred to our great city as "F------ Atlanta" in Duma Key? I feel honored...

So it seems I do not have the correct permissions to post on the StephenKing.com forum for the NY date, so I thought I would add some hotel information here.

There is a new Marriott Fairfield Inn opening in October 2009. The property name is Fairfield Inn New York Manhattan/Fifth Avenue, the address is 21 West 37th Street, New York, NY 10018. I was able to make online reservations for my trip to New York for the interview/signing at this property, the rate for a King was $269 per night, plus taxes - rate includes complimentary breakfast - ( not terrible considering the location of the hotel), Double Beds were $30 to $50 more per night. I believe the hotel is walking distance to the event and will have been open only one month prior to the event date so conditions of the rooms should be really nice. Also, in case of trouble, reservations can be canceled one day prior to the arrival date with no charge.

Just an FYI for anyone else looking for a hotel for the NY Under the Dome Book Signing event.

Thanks Andrea!

If anyone's looking to split rooms for any of the signings post here and folks can PM each other the details. $150 is a lot better then $300....Of course I realize many people wouldn't be comfortable spliting a room with someone they don't know offline but for those that would consider it I'm just putting the idea out there.

Unfortunatly with no West Coast signings I'm not headed anywhere

Latest signing info:
November 10 - NYC (this event is already sold out)
November 11 - still being decided whether D.C. or Baltimore
November 13 - Atlanta (yes, we know it's a Friday )
November 16 - Sarasota
November 18 - Minneapolis
November 19 - Toronto
December 1 - Portsmouth, NH
December 2 - Manchester, VT

Found this information in my inbox this morning...looks like you'll need to purchase book vouchers with tickets. Can you imagine, a signed book for only $35!!! There were no ticket vouchers when I purchased my tickets for the New York event. I wonder how they will determine who gets the books on my date.

Enjoy, Andrea

I am new to posting to this site. I just wanted to let everyone know that I called B&N and they really don't know how the signing is going to be handled yet. They probably won't know until mid-August.

Hi Susan, welcome to the forums!

Thank you for the post.

I will say that the format B&N sent out is pretty much the "default" way many bookstores handle things. That boiling down to... Stand in line for a signing, author will only sign his current book, bought at our store. One per customer.
