SIX STORIES SLIP/TRAY CASE

Post by TrueNorth »

Was this issued with a traycase or a slipcase?

Mine has a traycase but see Bloody Rare Books has one for sale with a slipcase. There was a post on 'The Collector' a little while ago asking about slipcases.

Would anyone know if it an option?

Thanks

Six Stories was not issued with either a traycase or slipcase. Those were only available in the "aftermarket". I wish I had one, though.

John that explains a lot.

Whoever made my traycase put some love into it. It was really matched perfect, gold embossed on the cover and spine saying SIX STORIES in the same font. Being a paperback it needs the protection.

Thanks again ol' wise one.

Hey JackTheLad, first thanks....that is exactly like mine.

Second, man this sold low. I would have guessed it would fetch $1000. Is it me or are prices lower lately? I am seeing some really good deals lately.

Hi Bob...I am the second owner of #130 and have no idea where the traycase came from. Wish I did, I have a couple of other SK books that need a case. If you know please pass that on.

I too am the second owner. Bought mine through Betts when Stu was the owner. There is a website Slipcasebooks.com that it appears they do slipcases and traycases. It also appears they engrave. I have never used them. Was going to for my Salems Lot. Has anyone on the site used them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have gotten a lot of slipcases from here. They Are all great quality. Back in the day Tomas had a case made for the limited Salem's Lot. Really wish he would make more of those. Are you listening Tomas?
