Unknown edition of the stand

Post by SleepyPete »

I just found a copy of the stand at the thrift store and picked it up because..... Well why not.

The book is sans a dust jacket. There is no isbn anywhere and the only books listed as being published by king in the cover are the stand, night shift, the shining, salems lot, and carrie. The total pages is 823 and the copyright is 1978.

The outside is all off white with an offset typescript simply saying The Stand with Doubleday at the bottom. Having trouble uploading pictures but if I can it might make more sense.

Thank you in advance

Thanks for the post. If you look on page 823 on the inner gutter do you see a code in italics? You may have to crack open the book a ways to see it. Let us know what the code is. Also a photo of the copyright page would be helpful.

Regardless, without the dustjacket it would likely not be collectible, just a ready copy worth a dollar or two.
